Presentations

Although contained within a relatively small space, there is a wide array of presentations that fall under ENT surgery.

Conditions such as vertigo can be caused by either central or peripheral causes, therefore care history and examination, with relevant follow-up investigations, is essential. The same is true for patients presenting with tinnitus.

Presentations such as hoarse voice have a wide range of differentials, however care must be taken with each patient presenting with such a condition to ensure malignancy or other sinister pathology is excluded.
